What is Upcomers?
Upcomers is a proprietary trading firm that sells paid evaluations. You pay a one-time fee for a simulated account, trade it under published rules, and if you meet the objectives you move to a funded phase where you can request payouts from simulated profits. Upcomers states that all trading happens in a simulated environment and that you never deposit or risk trading capital yourself (upcomers.com, checked 2026-09-14).
The account size you see — $10K, $100K, $1M — is a nominal figure that risk limits and profit targets are calculated from. It is not cash handed to you, and it is not withdrawable. What you can withdraw is your share of simulated profit, once you meet the payout conditions of the specific program you bought. Program fees are non-trivial and payout conditions apply.

Before you choose a challenge
Evaluation stages
A one-step program gets you to the funded phase faster but usually demands a higher single-phase profit target. Two-step programs split the target but double the number of times you can fail.
Loss limits and reset times
Check what the daily loss is measured against — balance or equity — and what time of day it resets. A limit that resets at a server time you're asleep through behaves differently to one that resets mid-session.
Static versus trailing drawdown
A static maximum loss stays fixed at your starting balance. A trailing (dynamic) one follows your equity upward, so a profitable day raises the level at which you fail. Upcomers uses both, depending on the program.
Trading restrictions
Confirm whether news trading, weekend holding, EAs, copy trading and hedging are allowed on the exact program and platform you buy, not on a program you read about elsewhere.
Payout requirements
Minimum profit, minimum valid trading days, best-day or consistency rules and payout caps all decide whether a profitable account actually pays out.
Platform availability
Platform choice happens at checkout and not every program offers every platform. Pick the one you already trade on.
Country eligibility and identity checks
Payouts require completed identity verification. Check the official terms for restricted countries before paying a fee.
Fees and refund conditions
The evaluation fee is the product. Read the refund clauses in the official terms and conditions before you buy — refund eligibility is not automatic.
Rules live in the official terms and help centre. Our page-by-page detail is in the rules guide.

A balanced view
What may suit your needs
- A wide program range: half-step, one-step, two-step, instant funding and short time-limited formats, so the evaluation length can match how you actually trade (source).
- No evaluation time limit on the step-based Classic programs, and 1:100 leverage.
- News trading and weekend holding are allowed on the step-based Classic programs.
- Several mainstream platforms — MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker, Match-Trader, cTrader, dxTrade — chosen during checkout.
- Entry fees start low relative to larger account sizes, so testing the rules is cheap.
What to check carefully
- Loss limits are tight on several programs: a 3% daily loss and 6% trailing maximum loss on Thunderbolt leaves very little room for a bad session.
- Trailing drawdown behaves differently from static drawdown, and the time-limited Nova programs use a version that never locks — large equity swings are riskier there.
- Payout eligibility differs by program: Ignite and Surge require five valid trading days before a first payout; instant funding programs require five or six qualifying days.
- Breakout (Control and Rebirth) is currently unavailable for new purchases and does not lead to a funded account at all.
- Headline figures such as “up to 100% profit split” and “~12h payouts” are provider-advertised averages, not contractual guarantees.
We have not been given evidence of hands-on account testing or completed withdrawals, so we make no claim to either. Every statement above is taken from an official Upcomers page and dated.
